Straight answer on scope

Licensed for the testing and the removal

DEKON performs mold sampling, remediation, and clearance testing under NM Contractor License #417265 with the GS-29 Asbestos, Lead & Mold Abatement endorsement. If you want the testing kept independent of the removal — some owners and lenders prefer that — tell us up front and we will scope the sampling on its own and hand you a report any contractor can work from.

How the work runs

EPA / CDC protocol sampling with documented chain of custody
  1. Walkthrough. We look at moisture, odor, visible growth, and HVAC, and decide where sampling will tell the real story.
  2. Sampling. Air and/or surface samples collected to EPA and CDC protocol with calibrated equipment and documented chain of custody.
  3. Lab analysis. Samples go to an accredited laboratory. You get the report plus a plain-English summary of what it means.
  4. Remediation (if you want us to fix it). Containment, removal of affected material, HEPA filtration, and disinfection under our GS-29 mold abatement endorsement.
  5. Clearance. Post-remediation sampling confirms the space meets the standard before it is reoccupied.

Do you remove mold, or only test for it?

Both. DEKON is licensed for mold abatement under NM Contractor License #417265 with the GS-29 Asbestos, Lead & Mold Abatement endorsement, so DEKON can test, remediate, and perform clearance. If you would rather keep the testing independent of the removal, say so up front and DEKON will scope the testing on its own.

Should I test for mold before buying a house in Farmington?

If there is any history of leaks, moisture, or visible growth, testing before closing gives you data to base the decision on rather than a guess. DEKON collects samples to EPA and CDC protocol and provides the lab report with a plain-English interpretation.

What is clearance air sampling?

Clearance sampling is air monitoring performed after an abatement or cleanup to confirm the space meets the standard before it is reoccupied. DEKON performs pre- and post-abatement air monitoring for asbestos and lead projects as well as mold clearance testing.

What credentials does DEKON hold for this work?

DEKON is AHERA-certified, samples to EPA and CDC protocol, and holds NM Contractor License #417265, EPA ID NMR00032243, and 40-Hour HAZWOPER for all field personnel. The company is SAM.gov active (CAGE 1A8J1, UEI NARD6L7LPW3) and registered with the Navajo Nation ONTC.

How soon do I get results?

Turnaround depends on the laboratory and sample type. DEKON tells you the timeline up front and sends the lab report with a written interpretation of what it means.
